Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia is Patron of the Mother's Day Classic.
The Governor-General became patron in March 2009. She is a passionate supporter of the cause, and was a participant in the Brisbane event during her time as Queensland Governor. In May 2009, she took part in the Canberra event as Patron and Governor-General.
Recently, she announced the opening of registrations for the 2010 Mother's Day Classic, at a special ceremony held in Sydney on Tuesday 9 February 2010.
