Govenor-General launches the Mother's Day Classic 2010
The nation’s favourite charity walk and run in aid of breast cancer research launched today at a special ceremony hosted by its patron the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC.
The Governor-General encouraged Australians to set aside time on Sunday 9 May to participate and to “share in the enthusiastic support that brings out the camaraderie and friendships shared on the day.”
“I look forward immensely to walking with you in May, and to sharing the greater journey of breast cancer research with you,” said the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC.
