Walk With Women is the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s (OCRF) original
fundraising walk event, which was the brainchild of OCRF Ambassador and friend, Helen Powell.
Helen began the walk in 2016 following her own diagnosis with ovarian cancer.
In that first year, she and just 6 close friends walked a 30km-length course along the
picturesque Mornington Peninsula, stretching from Safety Beach Sailing Club to Hotel Sorrento.
Known in its first six years as the Wonder Woman Walk, Helen’s walk was renamed Walk With Women upon becoming an official event of the OCRF in 2022.
From 2024, with an altered course this special walk will continue to honour Helen’s
legacy as it steps into the Mother’s Day Classic.

Course Information
Our 30km return walk starts at the carpark of the Safety Beach Sailing Club and courses along the established coastal walk to the 15km mark at Tootgarook Boat Ramp.

Getting There & Parking
Parking is available at the Safety Beach Sailing Club, various additional foreshore carparks, streetside along Marine Drive and also in local side streets.
The nearest bus stop is for bus 788 and 781 on Marine Drive. The name of the stop is Safety Beach Sailing Club / Marine Drive.

Check-in is in the carpark at the Safety Beach Sailing Club.

8:30am - Registrations open.
9:00am - Walk event starts.
