Support my efforts in the 2024 Mother’s Day Classic!

In September 2023, my mum was diagnosed with HER-2 positive Breast Cancer. Only around 15-20% of women are diagnosed with this aggressive form of breast cancer. My mum has endured 5 months of chemotherapy and undergone surgery to remove the cancer. Fortunately, through research and medical advancements we now have targeted treatments like Herceptin and Perjeta that directly treat HER-2 positive patients. These drug have been revolutionary and changed the quality and life expectancy for patients, such as my mum. These drugs have only been available to patients in Australia within the last 10 years.

My mum’s journey is not over - she will undergo a course of radiotherapy and infusions every 3 weeks for a further 6 months. It has been a long road but I am so incredibly proud of her strength and resilience over this challenging time. I would really love your support so we can continue funding vital research needed to support breast cancer patients. 

On Sunday 12 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.

I'll be lacing up my running shoes and taking a step forward for women's cancer research, and I'd really love your support!
