What a great day to start my posts for the Mother’s Day Classic! We are on the Spirit of Tasmania sailing to Tassie for a few days with family and friends. It looks like it will be a lovely day for the trip.

This month marks 27 years since my first bout of breast cancer and 9 months since my second. While you might think I am unlucky getting it twice, I think I’m very lucky that on both occasions it was caught early (stage 2) and successfully treated. I’m walking the MDC to raise funds for continuing research for early discovery and treatment of breast cancer.

On Sunday 12 May, I'm putting my foot down to save lives.

I'll be lacing up my walking shoes and taking a step forward for women's cancer research, and I'd really love your support!

I’m joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness for early detection and treatment of breast and ovarian cancers.

Tragically, 12 Australians lose their lives to this awful disease every day. I’m one of the lucky ones who has survived breast cancer, twice!
