On 9th September 2021, I received a diagnosis of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. A moment in time my partner and I will never forget. This was followed by 5 months of chemotherapy, 11 months of targeted immunotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy.
IBC is a rare and aggressive form of invasive breast cancer and can be difficult to diagnose, often leading to diagnosis at an advanced stage. With significantly lower survival rates, more research into this subtype of breast cancer is vitally important.
This year I am celebrating 1 year since beating cancer in April 2023!
