When registering for the Sydney event, partipants will be asked select their start group based one one of 4 different seeding options.

Bag Drop

There will be a baggage storage area onsite where you can leave your belongings from 6:00am-12:00pm. Please do not leave any valuables in the storage area as we cannot be responsible for goods lost or stolen.

Toilets
Toilets will be located in the Event Village. Look out for directional signage or ask one of our friendly volunteers for directional assistance. There are also a number of Public Amenities blocks located around The Royal Botanic Gardens. 

First Aid
First Aid will be available on the day. Please see a volunteer for assistance. In an emergency, always call '000' first. 

Embrace & Honour: Prior to the 5km and 10km walk, participants will be invited to observe a minute of silence at the start line to embrace and honour those touched by breast or ovarian cancer. The Embrace & Honour proceedings will commence at approximately 8:40 am.

Course Information

The Domain Sydney is a 34 hectare, heritage listed area of open space located only 5mins from the heart of the Sydney CBD. The course will take participants past attractions including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Andrew Boyd Charlton pool and Mrs Macquarie's Chair.

Getting There & Parking

Road Closures
Various Sydney CBD Roads are affected on Sunday 11th May from 5am - 12pm

Parking
Parking is available at Wilson Parking, The Domain Car Park. Please refer to local maps for specific details.

Access to The Domain Car Park is maintained via St Mary’s Rd at Yurong Pkwy/Sir John Young Crescent for the duration of the event/ until the car park is full. There is no access to The Domain Car Park from College St/Prince Albert St from 6:00am – 10:00am.

Accessibility
Accessible parking is available at The Domain Car Park however; participants will need to proceed to the southern lift and head to St Mary’s Road to access Art Gallery Rd as the northern lift closest to the Art Gallery is currently not operational. 

Public Transport
By Train:

The closest stations to The Domain are Martin Place and Town Hall which are both within short walking distance.

  • From Martin Place – head towards Macquarie Street, cross road, and walk through Sydney Eye Hospital, cross Hospital Rd and enter The Domain  (~270m)
  • From Town Hall – head either north on Macquarie Street and walk through Sydney Eye Hospital, cross Hospital Rd and enter The Domain (~500m) or head north along Art Gallery Rd, cross Hospital Rd and enter The Domain (~600m)

By Metro:

The closest Metro station to The Domain is Martin Place and is only a short walk.

  • From Martin Place - head towards Macquarie Street, cross road, and walk through Sydney Eye Hospital, cross Hospital Rd and enter The Domain  (~270m)

By Bus:
Travelling by bus to the Royal Botanic Garden is also easy with most major bus routes using nearby CBD bus stops along Elizabeth St, Macquarie St, Park and William Streets.

By Ferry
All Ferries terminate at Circular Quay and participants can then take a short 1km walk from Circular Quay, south along Macquarie St to the Event Site.

Bib Collection

If you did not select to have your Race Bib posted and/or you registered after TBC, you will be able to collect your Race Bib prior to event day at the event site.

Location for Bib collection:
Phillip Precinct, The Domain – Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
Opposite Sydney Hospital, Hospital Road.

Pre-Event Race Bib Collection and/or New Registrations:
12:00pm - 6:00pm on Fri 9th May
12:00pm - 5:00pm on Sat 10th May

Event Day Race Bib Collection and/or New Registrations on Site:
6:00am - 8:30am on Sun 11th May

NOTE: on Event Day there will be an additional Bib Collection point central to the Event Village.

If you do not have your race bib when you arrive to the Event Village on Event Day, please head to the registration tent to pick up with ample time ahead of your start time.

Event Village

The Event Village will be open from 6:00AM – 12:00PM.

Accessibility

Course is wheelchair and pram friendly.

It is recommended that slow runners, walkers and those participating with wheelchairs and prams assemble at the rear of their start group. Elite wheelchair participants should self-seed and assemble based on their expected speed.

Event Villages may have grassed areas. Please refer to maps for further information regarding village accessibility.

BYO water in a reusable bottle. Water refill stations will be located at the Event Village and there will be a drink station available on the course route and at the finish line.

Coffee and other food and beverages are available for purchase from vendors in the Event Village.

Dogs
