By Train:
The closest stations to The Domain are Martin Place and Town Hall which are both within short walking distance.
- From Martin Place – use Exit 1 Macquarie Street and walk to the park via Macquarie Street and Prince Albert Road (~300m)
- From Town Hall – use Exit 2 George Street and walk to the park via Park Street and through Hyde Park (~1km)
Please note that weekend trackwork on the City Circle, and parts of the T1 North Shore and T2 Inner West lines may affect how you travel. Trains will not run on the City Circle, catch L2 or L3 light rail services to Town Hall, or catch T4 line trains to Martin Place to get within walking distance of the Domain.
Buses replace T1 North Shore Line trains between North Sydney and Wynyard and Inner West Line trains between Ashfield and Central. Trackwork also affects trains on other lines. Plan your trip and allow extra travel time.
From Central change for T4 Line trains to Martin Place or Light rail services to Town Hall to get within closer walking distance of the Domain.
By Bus:
Travelling by bus to the Royal Botanic Garden is also easy with most major bus routes using nearby CBD bus stops along Elizabeth St, Macquarie St, Park and William Streets.
