Support our efforts to raise money in honour of Athanasia Kanellopoulos
Dad and I are running in the Mother's Day Classic, Sunday 11 May!
On 20 October 2024, we lost an incredibly important member of our family. Yiayia Sia was an amazing wife, mother, sister, Yiayia, great-Yiayia and friend.
Her battle with breast cancer was truly heartbreaking and despite the tremendous bravery shown by Yiayia, she lost the battle.
While our hearts are shattered, we know that Yiayia's story is unfortunately too common across thousands of families. Every day 63 people are diagnosed with breast or ovarian Cancer, and 12 people lose their lives.
This is why my dad John (Athanasia's son) and I are lacing up our running shoes to raise awareness and funds to support the fight against breast cancer.
We have a very big goal but Yiayia had a very big heart.
