Support our efforts in the 2025 Mother’s Day Classic!

Team PINK FEET is participating in the Mother's Day Classic, Sunday 11 May!

PINK FEET DETAILS POST FOR 2025!

When: 7:30am, Sunday 11 May (Mother's Day)

Where: We will start at Sherriff Park, Mundingburra (you'll see the pink!) and walk/jog (it's up to you, most people walk including us and kids can bring bikes, scooters, prams and of course fur babies are welcome!) along the path to Riverview Park turn around (there will be some pink ribbon marking the turnaround point) and come back again!

Length: Approx 4.5 kms (but you can turn around whenever you like).

Dress Code: PINK!!!!

How to join team PINK FEET: You can either register on the Mother's Day Classic website (make sure to choose 'join a team' when given the option and type in PINK FEET) or just make a donation to team PINK FEET and come walk with us (preferred option)!! It's that easy!!!

What if you don't live in Townsville: You can still join team PINK FEET! The beauty is you can walk anywhere in the world! Just put your pink on and snap a pic for me and put it on Facebook and tag me or message it to me so I can add it on my page!

What if I don't want to walk at all: Again, you can still join team PINK FEET! Just make a donation to the team of whatever amount you're comfortable with and still send me a pic of how you're enjoying your Mother's Day!

There will be free pink donuts, juice and water for those walking in Townsville generously supplied by Donut King, Castletown and my parents!

I think most of you know my story by now!

This year I am 18-year breast cancer survivor, having been diagnosed at age 24 - and I have been living with secondary breast cancer for 15 years. 

During this time, I have been on 19 different chemo's - some with horrendous side effects. I have had the cancer spread to my bones, brain (multiple times), lungs and chest. I have had too many scans, surgeries, radiation and hospital stays to list them. 

But this isn't a tragic story - not by a long shot. Because I have the best support crew you could ever, and I mean ever hope for. So, mine is a story of survival and hope and love that surrounds me - and I truly hope anyone experiencing something similar to me also has. 

This will be team PINK FEET's 13th Mother's Day Classic. Last year alone we raised over $21,000 to support this cause and to hopefully one day find a cure, or until then to keep funding research and new chemo's and treatment methods to keep cancer at bay for as long as possible. 

Team PINK FEET is a family and friend's team that has a heart of gold. I look forward to Mother's Day morning every year - it is a huge part of what keeps me putting one foot in front of the other, smiling and making the most of every single day - even the tough ones.

Thank you to everyone who has ever been a part of team PINK FEET over the years. It is something I am so proud of, and I can't tell you how much joy it brings me that PINK FEET has become a Mother's Day tradition for so many families. Bring on this year! Go team PINK FEET!
