Support my efforts in the 2025 Mother's Day Classic!
My sister Mary died of breast cancer in early 2012, aged 44.
Even though that was 13 years ago, I still have trouble believing I'll never see my sister again.
Mary and her husband Sam had a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl at the time.
My nephew will be 19 in April and my niece will be 18 in December.
Ned has little memory of his mother. Lola has none.
The most devastating aspect of Mary's death was she found a lump in her breast during her second pregnancy. She did not get it checked out immediately; when she did, it was too late.
Mary experienced more in 44 years of life than most people who live twice as long.
She was a special wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and colleague.
To date, I have raised over $144,000 in donations in Mary's memory to the MDC and, again, I am asking for your support in 2025.
I greatly appreciate every donation in the fight to zero breast and ovarian cancer deaths.
Every day in Australia 63 people are diagnosed with, and 12 lose their life to, breast or ovarian cancer.
