Support our efforts in the 2024 Mother’s Day Classic!

Cath's story! 

Catherine (Cath) is 51 years old. She is a wife, mum, soon to be Nanna, Aunty, and loyal friend to many! 

On Friday 8 March 2024, Cath’s world turned upside down. A routine mammogram showed that Cath has stage 2 breast cancer. At the end of this month, she will undergo surgery - a mastectomy and the removal of her lymph nodes, followed by lengthy treatment.

Before Cath’s breast cancer diagnosis, life was what you would call normal. She would tell you they were a normal, busy, hectic, happy family, with no stress, no health issues, and not a worry in the world.

Cath is now dreading every moment of being a woman! 

It is no surprise that we, her family, are feeling a sense of anger and unfairness. But in true Cath form, she is simply now trying to process the news, remain positive and just live in the moment - despite the severity and unpleasantness of what she is about to face.

Cath really is the symbol of love and care, and the ultimate pillar of strength in her big, blended family - a true beauty and a real warrior woman

We invite you to come show your love and support for Cath and her family by participating in the Mother's Day Classic on Sunday 12 May!

Join us at 10.10am dressed in pink for a 4km walk. Cath will be 2 weeks out from surgery, but she is determined to be there! 

Together, we will be lacing up our ‘walking’ shoes and taking a step forward for women's cancer research, and we'd really love your support!

We're walking the talk and joining the Mother’s Day Classic to help raise funds and awareness to fight breast and ovarian cancers.  

Tragically, 12 Australians lose their lives to these awful diseases every day.
