SUPPORTING Breast Cancer Research

On Sunday 11 May, I'm walking with my family & Fernley in the Mother’s Day Classic and I would love your support!

Until 2024, breast cancer was something that existed on the periphery of my life, with a few dear friends who have been affected in recent years. Then, in January last year, with a self-detected lump that was quickly diagnosed as an invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2b, things suddenly got very real.

Without the years of research and hundreds of millions of dollars of funding for studies on treatment protocols, causal factors, preventions and ongoing medication to prevent recurrence, my life expectancy would be significantly lower than it thankfully is now.

I was too unwell with the effects of chemotherapy to take part in last year’s event. This year, although I’m still dealing with the ongoing effects of cancer and treatment, I am ready (and can’t wait!) to walk alongside my family, Fernley and many friends to help raise raise funds and awareness for breast and ovarian cancer.

Many of you have played a part in helping me take each step along the road that began with a cancer diagnosis. I’m reaching out to you now to ask for your support for the 2025 Mother’s Day Classic. Whatever donation you can make is hugely appreciated.

Thank you,

Aarthi  Xx
