I've taken part in this event a few times in the past, through work a few years ago as an event partner, and more recently in the wake of breast cancer diagnoses for two close family members within a year of each other (thankfully they are both now cancer free).

This year I'm throwing my support behind the "Maya's Booby Brigade" team.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows someone who has had breast cancer, but this is the first time I've known someone so young with a diagnosis (22!).

Research continues to improve treatments and survival rates, and fundraising via this event is a fun way to contribute.

I know times are tough right now for everyone, but if you can afford it, please consider making a donation!

The Mother’s Day Classic is Australia’s most inspirational, cause-driven community event. Every year, thousands of Australians come together on Mother’s Day to start their Mother’s Day with purpose. Our aim is to unite and inspire the community, create a fun and engaging event experience, to celebrate and remember those touched by breast and ovarian cancer and to raise life-saving funds for research.
