Supporting Breast Cancer Research
I'm putting my foot down to stop breast cancer in its tracks!
My continued promise to my 18 year old daughty Catherine!
The Murdoch's Mother's Day Plans are Locked In! This Sunday 12th May, we are lacing up our sneakers for our annual Mother's Day Classic walk in the Domain.Â
Did you know? Every day, 12 amazing women are taken by breast and ovarian cancers. Together, let's change this statistic!
As an Ambassador for the Mother’s Day Classic and to keep my promise to my daughter Catherine, this is my yearly email to my wonderful friends, family, colleagues, clients and suppliers asking you to take time to think about who you know that has been affected by cancer and how you would love to find a cure.
Most of you know I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2011 with no history in the family, I made a promise that I will raise awareness and vital funds each year to achieve the goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by the time Catherine is 25 years old in the year 2030. Given my breast cancer was found with an Ultra Sound and not the mammogram, I have the added goal of educating women to include an Ultra sound as part of a regular mammogram check. No history of Breast Cancer in our family but it started with me and I want it to finish at me.
This is my promise to Catherine as once again the Murdoch’s will pound the pavement on Mother’s Day and doing our bit each year to raise funds for such a passionate cause for so many, especially me.
I have my promise to Catherine which I aim to keep.
Any amount no matter how big or small makes a difference to my promise.
Thank you for your friendship, love and support. xxx
